My first 2019 journal is the one I was using at the end of 2018. I started this journal on 28th September 2018 but as it is an undated notebooks I’ve just continued using it.
My first 2019 Journal
I bought this notebook from Sainsbury’s on a food trip to the supermarket. I loved the combination of the colours and words on the cover. However, apart from that there is nothing special about the notebook, it is functional rather than pleasurable to use. This is the second book I’ve used with wide ruled lines and I think it is starting to impact how much I write as I can fit less on a wide ruled page.
I have used this notebook with a variety of pens, as I kept forgetting to fill my fountain pen. The paper has been accepting of all of them with no scratching or feathering, although there has been a bit of ghosting through the page. I have recently filled my fountain pen so I’m back to using Diamine Blue Pearl ink* which is blue with silver sparkles.
I’m over half way through this journal, so will need to start a new one in a few months time. I’m delighted to say that I got a Castelli* notebook for Christmas so will be returning to that brand later in the year.
Journal writing
I’ve continued writing at least three things in my positives and gratitude sections each day. I also occasionally free write about something that happened during the day. On the 1st January I started a new section called How could I have made today better? I’m finding it very interesting as it is making me think about the actions I could have done (or not) to have a positive impact.
Are you writing a 2019 journal? What is your journal like? If you haven’t started remember you can start at any time, it doesn’t have to be on 1st January.
