Blogging doesn’t have to be an activity done in isolation. It has been a revelation to me to discover several local bloggers through BritMums network. Of course, by local I don’t mean a short walk down the road, but within the Thames Valley a region including parts of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, North Hampshire and Surrey. However, some of the bloggers are within easy reach, one is just 30 minutes drive away and one is based near the town I take the children swimming every week. Now I’ve discovered them who knows what will happen.
I am sharing the list of Thames Valley blogs I now follow, to help anyone else looking for sites in this region. If you have found the list useful, it would be great to share it to increase awareness of all the great writing taking place in the region. Please let me know of any other blogs that should be added.

Great idea – thanks for organising this, lets hope we can all meet up sometime soon
I’m so excited about not only finding local people, but also some great blogs. I really hope we get some more blogs suggested to add to the list. It would be a real bonus if we meet in person as well.
Will pop back and make sure I’m following all as bit rushed for time now, but great idea to get all the local bloggers talking and comparing notes. (Small world as well, I’m also (now) in project management and working in resource efficiency – kind of similar to you).
Emma, Thank you for your comment. It is great having local blogs to read. I know they are not about the region and are on different topics, but when I read them I know the writer is nearby.
