As I want to keep improving my blog I think it is important to review progress and to decide areas to focus on. Last year I did a review every month, but didn’t feel I was gaining much from it, so I planned to do quarterly reviews this year. However, here we are six months in and I’m doing my first one, but at least it means I have lots of data to review.

The highlight for me is the increase shown in the two new graphics for the number of sessions and page views (bars for 2015 and area for 2014). These really show that I’m making progress. I’m also pleased that my followers have increased on all platforms, including my email newsletter. Yes I know four subscribers is low, but I’ve only had my signup open for a few days (I’ve just sent out my first edition so if you’d like to get my second one please sign up).
My posting frequency has not changed much during the last six months across the different platforms, except for Google+ where my post numbers are completely dropping off. I’m actually surprised by this as there is a lot I like about G+, but I’ve got fed up with all the link dumping which feeds most of my stream and lots of the communities I visit. I haven’t found a good place for good engagement yet and get bored of spending time looking for posts I want to comment on. How do you find Google+
It is no surprise which posts were the most popular in June, because they are the most popular every month. I’m grateful for the traffic I get from search engines to these posts, but it is getting a bit boring.
- 15 different types of journals
- 23 ideas for the first page of your journal or notebook
- 15 suggestions for old diaries and journals
- 13 tips to successful hot desking
- Wheel of life October slipping backwards
And a big thank you to Emma T who wrote the most comments during June; and every month this year!
Going forward, I’m going to work on:
- writing a blog post that breaks into the most popular posts list
- growing my email list
